After a balanced first half, the lions were pierced by Loiodice in the 5th minute of the second half, a goal that seemed to have killed the sporting ambitions of an entire city. But on the neutral ground of Bitetto, home of Bitonto for too long, Valeriano Loseto’s neroverdi reorganized themselves, grabbing the equalizer in the 18th minute of the second half with Palazzo and reversing the contest in the 32nd minute thanks to Rotondo.
The best news for Bitonto fans, however, came from the “Puttilli” of Barletta, where the home red and whites were beaten 2-3 at home by Fasano, who had little to ask for at the end of the season. Bitonto has therefore caught up with Barletta at 30 points and is now concretely hoping for salvation. Everything will be at stake in the difficult away match in Casarano, where the neroverdi will have to take full spoils. And for the Salento trip a mini-exodus of fans is expected following the lions.
