The President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, spoke in Pescara about some family heirlooms inherited from his father during the Fratelli d’Italia event. Among the objects mentioned is the famous bust of Mussolini, now in the possession of his sister. «I don’t regret having kept these items at home. What should I have done? Throwing away a gift from my father? In the end, I decided to give it to my sister” explained La Russa.

Additionally, La Russa expressed remorse for a previous comment he made about the Via Rasella statement, admitting that he had mistakenly described the event as the work of a “military band,” an error that he said was also present in many books of history. «I should have documented better; I apologized for this mistake. On this point, I really have reason to repent »he added.
