Known by all for his strong investigative acumen, the retired Lieutenant Langiano Francesco held the role of Commander of the Judicial Police Section at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trani, a fundamental figure and point of union between the Public Prosecutors and the Police Force. Of Barletta origins, he began his military career in 1981 as an auxiliary carabiniere and then won the competition for non-commissioned officer of the force by attending the first year of school at the Carabinieri School of Campobasso and then the non-commissioned officer school in Florence. After a brief experience in the Carabinieri Command Station of Codigoro in the province of Ferrara, he began his long career in the Judicial Police Section at the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Trani where he collaborated with prosecutors who were nothing short of exceptional. The Lieutenant was the protagonist of an episode worthy of being made known: while his wife was in hospital giving birth to her second child, the soldier saved the life of a gentleman who was intending to throw himself from a window ledge to put an end to the his life.

After this splendid career which ended on 29 December 2019 and the proclamation of the rank of Second Lieutenant of the Complementary Reserve, in these days at the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri BAT Lieutenant Langiano received the Mauriziana medal from Colonel Galasso, with which he admirably concludes the Commander experience in his military career.
