Ravenna, Giorgia Meloni’s posters vandalised. FdI: “Intolerable gestures”

Unknown have vandalized some electoral posters of the Brothers of Italy, composing with paint the word “fascist” after having crossed out the face of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the party symbol. This is what happened in the last few hours in Ravenna, with the local FdI section also making it known that it had already taken steps to file a complaint. To make it known what happened was Alberto Ferrero, provincial coordinator of the Brothers of Italy and group leader of the party in the city council. According to what was initially reconstructed, the vandals targeted several posters depicting Prime Minister Meloni. Some were torn. but in at least one case the thugs would have gone further: in one poster, for example, we read the term “fascist”, written next to Meloni’s face scribbled with red paint.

In short, a real vandalistic raid, with those responsible apparently acting during the night to take advantage of the absence of witnesses. “I went to the police station to report it complaintin relation to the vandalism carried out against Fratelli d’Italia posters portraying the Prime Minister – Ferrero explained in this regard in a press note published by the local media – the posters located in viale Randi, via Destra canale Molinetto and via Bellucci were in fact defaced and torn.” An action of clear political origin, with Ferrero not sparing for this reason a harsh attack on the exponents of “a certain left“. Furthermore, the Ravenna management of FdI has decided not to replace the defaced billboards, leaving them in their current conditions as a warning.

And after having reported the incident to the police, the hope of the militants is that some useful clues to identify the perpetrators of the vandalism raid may perhaps come from the analysis of the videos shot by the cameras of the video surveillance system in the area. “Attitudes like these, typical of a certain left, always ready to lecture others, denote a lack of respect and of that democratic behavior that is so much flaunted – Ferrero’s consideration reported by the newspaper Il Resto del Carlinowith which the FdI exponent invited the local leaders of the other formations to condemn the incident – we have decided that the vandalized posters will not be replaced, but it is right that they remain there and that everyone sees the behavior of certain people.

I expect a general stance and of condemnation of these gestures, not tolerable in an electoral campaign”.
