RECANATI – As part of the Address project relating to the in-depth study of Chemistry in cosmetics, on Tuesday 23 April 2024, the students of classes 1^A1 and 2^A of the Chemistry and Materials Address of the IIS “E.Mattei” of Recanati they participated in an educational trip to the Sodico company in Mondolfo.
Welcomed with great hospitality by Dr. Claudia Colomboni, they began the visit by listening to the presentation by the Commercial Director, Dr. Matteo Bonzagni who told the story, the organization, the mission and the vision of the company, founded in years ago from the creative and ingenious idea of Lauro Colomboni and which has grown over time to become today one of the most modern and technological production companies in the Marche region, among the top ten Italian companies in the sector.
The visit continued with the presentation of some of the members of the Sodico group, Dr. Rossi, Dr. Pietrini, Dr. Barbazeni and Dr. Barbadoro, who briefly illustrated their work to the students, highlighting the most interesting insights into their corporate role, the skills acquired and the professional challenges they face on a daily basis.
A mixture of knowledge that described a challenging job, but at the same time dynamic, fast and stimulating. Finally, the students attended an immersive lesson in the creation of some fragrances with the mastery of Dr. Alfonsi, and were then guided by Dr. Mirasole on a tour of the production sector and the company’s chemical laboratory.
The students returned to school enthusiastic about the experience they had.
The trip, in fact, represented an important educational moment in their scholastic career, which gave the opportunity to understand how chemistry and scientific research are relevant in many industrial sectors and to experience first-hand the meaning of a complete production cycle, from the conception of the product, to the control of raw materials, up to the production, analysis, storage and marketing of finished products.
But not only that, the day also represented a moment of personal training for each of them. At every moment of the visit they understood the importance of believing in what you do, putting passion, commitment and professionalism. The values that its founder believed in, that he still believes in and that he shares with his team today, translate into what the Sodico Group represents: a point of reference in the cosmetics sector that boasts collaborations with important international brands, attentive to quality of products and environmental sustainability and which has always been committed to social issues, supporting projects and research with worthy voluntary associations.
