man found hanged with his wrists tied

It is yellow on the discovery of a man found hanged and with his wrists tied to the support structure of the bridge which from Viale del Caravaggio leads to Parco Leonardo, in the territory of the municipality of Fiumicino.

The corpse hanging from the structure of a bridge had its hands tied

The report to the single emergency number 112 was made by a passer-by around 10.50 am today, Tuesday 7 May. The police, firefighters and 118 health workers intervened on site and could not help but confirm the death of the young man, a 35-year-old foreigner originally from the Cape Verde Islands.

Based on what was reconstructed by the investigators of the Fiumicino police station it appears to be a suicide although the more likely hypothesis of murder cannot be ruled out.

The victim had, in fact, both wrists bound with a shoelace. He would then have had to climb the structure, pass the rope around his neck while balancing on the steel beams, tie his hands and then let himself fall into the void.

The body was made available to the judicial authorities waiting for the magistrate to authorize the performance of the autopsy examination.
