NewTuscia – VITERBO – The new headquarters of the Knights of Malta in Viterbo, kindly granted by H.E. Mons. Orazio Francesco Piazza, Bishop of Viterbo, will be inaugurated tomorrow at 6.30 pm. During the event, the Delegate of Viterbo-Rieti, Lawyer Roberto Saccarello, Knight Grand Cross of Magistral Grace, will welcome those present. Also present will be HE Fra’ Roberto Viazzo, Grand Prior of Rome of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the president of the province Alessandro Romoli and the Mayor of Viterbo, Dr. Chiara Frontini, as well as ecclesial and voluntary association representatives.
The inauguration ceremony will be followed by the blessing of the headquarters and will also be an opportunity to present the solidarity activities carried out by the delegation at the church of SS. San Giacomo e Martino, thanks to the commitment of the volunteers and the donations received. The event aims to be a sign of hope for those in difficulty and a concrete way to help the local community, in continuity with the commitment carried out by the delegation for a quarter of a century at Palazzo Santoro.
The headquarters of the Knights of Malta will not only be a place of welcome, but also a center for cultural dissemination on the Holy Religion. The church of San Giacomo and Martino, built in 1236 and recently restored, will host meetings and charitable and cultural activities of the Knights, committed to preserving its beauty.
