PESCARA. They are called Carmelo Zumbo And Maria Antonietta Tellaroliare the two passengers who landed in Abruzzo on last night’s flight from Brussels Charleroi, on holiday in Abruzzo, winners of two vouchers delivered by Alessandro D’Alonzovice president Saga, Daniela Terrerimember of the Board of Directors, Luca Brunigeneral manager Saga, e Mauro Bolla, Ryanair country manager. They are the 730 thousandth passengers on the connection between Abruzzo Airport and the Belgian airport, operational since 2011. The delivery of the free tickets took place during the Abruzzo Airport Summer Season Party, the event organized by the airport management company to get to the heart of of the summer connection season. I am in total 17 destinations active in the summer months, operated in the Abruzzo airport by the companies Ryanair, Luxair and Wizzair. The event saw the combination of food prepared by the Concorde restaurant with music by Melodye Events.
“We wanted to organize this event,” said D’Alonzo, “to seal the full start of the summer season which again this year sees Abruzzo Airport offering a wide variety of destinations capable of intercepting many tourists in our territory, but also of bring travelers who choose to leave from the Abruzzo airport to Italy and abroad. The work we are doing is constant to maintain the large numbers that have been constantly growing in our airport in recent years. I just want to remind you that 2023 ended with a record number of 872,701 travellers, an increase compared to 2022 of 21.9 percent. The first 3 months of 2024 are more or less in line with the same period of 2023, with 128,089 passengers, a slight decrease compared to the approximately 131 thousand passengers of 2023, but the month of March 2024 closed with 51,255 passengers, an increase compared to the same month of 2023 by 2.7 percent.

With Wizzair the connection is with Tirana, and Luxembourg with Luxair.
