Last night was a busy evening in Casoria, with tension between two groups of young people, culminating in gunshots and a timely intervention by the police.
Around 10pm, after some citizens reported shots coming from a street in the city, the police intervened and identified a 16-year-old armed with a blank replica pistol.
The clash, probably caused by provocative glances, led to the arrest of the young man on charges of aggravated menacing and possession of weapons. Furthermore, it emerged that the boy was also a drug user, which is why he was reported to the competent authorities. The matter will now be reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office and social services for further information
In the moments following the shots, the carabinieri carried out an inspection and found 3 blank cartridge cases, actively searching for the person responsible for the shots.
Thanks to the promptness and professionalism of the police, the situation was managed without further incidents.
The discovery of the shell casings and the blank weapon in the young man’s possession led to the adoption of judicial measures and the reporting of the 16-year-old from Casoria for drug use.
