Satisfaction and happiness for the members of the musical and cultural association “Giovanni Bastiani-Lella” of Bitontoreconfirmed again this year to musically accompany the festival of San Nicola di Bari, a highly relevant event among Puglia’s festivities. The band concert was strongly supported and reconfirmed by the San Nicola celebration committee and by the rector of the pontifical basilica of San Nicola for his artistic preparation and his dedication to music.
The success of the musical complex is linked to two personalities: the artistic director Leonardo Lactantius and the gang leader Gianfranco Vernì, capable of coordinating preparation and knowledge so as to prepare a team that is up to the task of the event and musically prepared. Great skill also in choosing the symphonic marches to perform, to give life to real celebrations.
The association will musically accompany the festival of San Nicola di Bari in four dates: Sunday April 28 on the occasion of the draw for the trawlers on Wednesday May 8th for the procession to the sea, Friday May 10th for the transfer from Piazza del Ferrarese to the cathedral of Bari and on Sunday May 19th for the return to the basilica.
The important reconfirmation brings great satisfaction to the members of the Bitonto band, and at the same time raises a question: why in Bitonto one has never been taken into consideration and is never given the opportunity to participate in city initiatives, starting from Holy Week up to the liturgical celebrations that involve the whole community?
