ANCONA – The mystery is out The memory of the beethe author’s new novel Marina G. Robino. The presentation at Fogola bookshop of Ancona, May 10th (6.30 pm). The kidnapping of a newborn near Cento leads the Emilian police to reopen an unsolved case and inspector Lea Speranza Bassetti, who had retired to live in the countryside of Low Po Valley dedicating herself to beekeeping to find some peace, she finds herself forced to once again face the emotional challenges linked to her work.
To help his colleagues give a face (and a name) not only to the person responsible for the disappearance of the newborns, but above all to discover who kidnapped and killed his sister many years before, he will have to return to face the ghosts of his past.
It promises to be a compelling novel, that of Marina G. Robino, Milanese by birth and Ancona by adoption, who wrote a profound and unusual novel. The protagonist is not in fact a young career woman, like the usual subjects cast for Rai or Mediaset fiction (see The investigations of Lolita Lobosco or Vanina – A deputy commissioner in Catania).

Also because I liked talking about a female figure in slightly different roles. First of all, she is not young and she has no particular ambitions. Even though she is very good at her job, she decides to leave him. She prefers a different, quieter life, but a series of events bring her back to her profession.”
Robino, in 2020, published Bosco’s quarantinea collection of stories Detective storiesfollowed in 2021 by Dirty water for Oakmond Publishing, and in 2022 by Fragile – handle with care. His stories have been included in collective volumes such as Italian diary of the Corriere della Sera And Live your beliefs, published by Book Tribu of Bologna. He obtained recognition in the last two editions of the “Tale of the City” competition, organized, among others, by the Casa delle Culture of Ancona.
