Receive information and updates on applications submitted for various municipal services directly on the IO app; be notified near the TARI deadline or receive payment notices, such as those relating to fines or sanctions, and pay directly on your smartphone: these are some of the innovations introduced thanks to the increase in the services of the Municipality of Bari integrated on IO, the public services app which represents the access point for interacting simply and securely with local and national public services. Furthermore, by expanding its multi-channel offer of digital services, the Municipality of Bari has activated, on its institutional portal, a web page dedicated to reports sent by citizens, which complements the methods of sending reports already known and available within the ‘Bari Unica app.

Integration of services on IO, the public services app

The Municipality of Bari, by integrating a greater number of services within the IO app, aims to expand its offer of communication channels, reducing times and costs, and to facilitate citizens in managing obligations towards the institution. The publication of services on the IO app, created by the Municipality’s Technological Innovation sector, falls within Measure 1.4.3 of the PNRR financed with Next Generation EU funds from the European Union.

Municipal structures will therefore have the possibility, for services for which the tax code of the recipient towns and citizens is known, to send notifications and messages quickly and economically. In the testing and experimentation phase, the Municipality of Bari used the IO app to send, to an audience of citizens, notifications relating to the deadline for submitting the TARI report and information messages on the change of location of three electoral sections . The IO app therefore represents, for the organisation’s offices, a further tool that complements the multi-channel communication tools already used by the administration.

For example, as regards registry services, thanks to the integration of the services within the IO app, citizens will be able to receive payment notices and pay them directly in the app. As regards the TARI, however, citizens will receive, on the IO app, notifications with a reminder near the deadline for submitting the report, as well as information regarding the tax. Regarding fines for violation of the highway code, IO will send citizens a notification with the notice of assessment, it will be possible to pay it directly on the app, and then receive confirmation of payment. As regards requests for residence and change of residence, citizens will be able to receive communications and updates on the requests submitted through notifications on IO. Furthermore, always directly on the IO app, citizens will be able to receive communications and updates on the status of applications submitted for services such as nursery schools, nursery schools, canteens and school transport and others.

Information about IO, the public services app

IO allows you to easily interact with Public Administrations, local or national, by collecting services, communications, payments and documents in a single app, securely and always at hand.

The app is available on the Apple App Store (for devices with iOS operating system) or on the Google Play Store (for devices with Android operating system) for citizens who are not already users. To date, the app has over 38,250,000 downloads and over 15,900 active entities.

To start using IO, you need to register with your SPID credentials or, alternatively, with your Electronic Identity Card (CIE). Following the first registration, you can log in more easily by entering your chosen PIN or via biometric recognition (fingerprint or face recognition).

Thanks to alerts approaching a deadline, you stay updated on deadlines and can add a reminder directly to your personal smartphone calendar. For messages relating to the payment of services or taxes, you can complete the operation directly from the message, without leaving the app. If you need to delve deeper into the content of a message, each communication contains the organisation’s contact details and the possibility of quickly accessing its specific contact channels.

Activation of a new web page for reports on the institutional portal

Furthermore, the Municipality of Bari has activated a new page dedicated to reports which, being directly integrated into the institution’s institutional website, does not require user authentication or login for sending but only the completion of the web form available on the same page. The new channel is added to and alongside the methods of sending reports already known to citizens and available within Bari Unica, the app which brings together in a single access point the services made available by the Municipality on the various digital platforms.

The “Reports” page can be reached from the main menu of the institutional website of the Municipality of Bari, in the “URP – Dialoga con noi” area, “URP Digitale” section.

The functions of the new reporting page are integrated within the URP Digitale platform, which allows incoming requests to be electronically collected and managed through various communication channels, optimizing the work of the URP and speeding up response times for the citizens.

Digital facilitation points to support citizens

In recent months, the Municipality of Bari has activated, at various municipal offices, a network of digital facilitation points, physical places designed to promote inclusion and digital literacy, in which citizens, thanks to the availability of qualified operators, they can receive support and training on these topics. The digital facilitation project has, in fact, as its general objective the increase in the basic digital skills of citizens of Bari, in order to encourage the autonomous, conscious and responsible use of new technologies, to promote the full enjoyment of the rights of active digital citizenship and encourage an increasingly widespread use of online services, simplifying the relationship with the public administration. At the digital facilitation points, citizens can receive training, support and assistance also on the new digital tools now activated by the Municipality of Bari, as well as on those already in use.
