“The Voice, fundamental presence” – The Voice of Rovigo

La Voce turned twenty today. And, in the editorial office, many messages of good wishes have arrived for the important milestone achieved by our newspaper.

Above all, the letter sent to the director Alberto Garbellini by the president of the Veneto Region stands out Luca Zaiawhich speaks of an “important anniversary”. “Twenty years of journalism history always faithful to your mission of being at the service of readers and of the Polesine community”, says Zaia, who then addresses to the director “and to the entire team of the Voce di Rovigo my sincere wishes for this goal, which I am sure will be followed by others, always having as a point of reference the irrepressible need of the information, which must be transversal and capable of reaching all citizens”. The governor, therefore, underlines how “the presence of plurality of information in the territory is fundamental, which is a guarantee and safeguard of democracy, and you are an integral part of it. Freedom of the press is, in fact, a value that must be defended to counter the sea of fake news and keep alive that right of criticism which is at the basis of journalism. Journalists, I will never tire of repeating it, constitute a constant stimulus for politics and public administrations to operate with ever greater effectiveness and transparency”.

The regional councilor also speaks of twenty years dedicated “to the service of the Polesine community”. Cristiano Corazzari. Twenty years – he underlines “spent through always careful and punctual information which, thanks to constant work, has been able to build loyalty and create reliability over time, without ever ceasing to look at what’s new”. La Voce – he underlines – “over time has been able to renew itself, offering its readers an unparalleled range of information for our province, consolidating itself as a trusted and reliable newspaper”.

Also the regional councilor of Polesine Laura Cestariin a letter, defined La Voce as “a newspaper that has grown in authority, professionalism and circulation, becoming a point of reference for the Polesine, a land rich in history, culture and economic ferment. After the post-war period, Polesine did not have its own newspaper, and your newspaper filled this gap in an extraordinary way”.

“Your commitment and dedication – writes Cestari – have contributed to giving voice to the community and providing a quality information service. I sincerely wish you all the success in the coming years. May your newspaper continue to grow and prosper, always maintaining its high reputation and its fundamental role in the local journalistic landscape.”
