The Royal Palace of Caserta is open, the Wine Festival, the concerts, the event with Lego bricks, the theatrical performances, the exhibitions and much more. Don’t know what to do at the weekend? Here are our suggestions.

Royal Palace of Caserta

– Weekend at the Royal Palace. On Friday 26 April the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Apartments, the Vanvitelli Rooms, the Grand Gallery will be open to visitors with the “Visioni” exhibition, an exhibition of the projects “Attraversamenti” by Luciano D’Inverno and “Genius et Loci – The dramaturgy of the gaze” by Luciano Romano, the Royal Park and the English Garden. On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Apartments, the Vanvitelli Rooms, the Grand Gallery will be open to visitors with the “Visioni” exhibition, an exhibition of the projects “Attraversamenti” by Luciano D’Inverno and “Genius et Loci – The dramaturgy of glance” by Luciano Romano, the Court Theatre, the Royal Park and the English Garden.

Parties

– Wine Festival in the village of Oliveto in Maddaloni. Until April 28th the village will become an open-air theater. Street artists, itinerant actors, traditional popular masks and lots of popular music animate it. Among others, the Taranterrae, the Suonatori per caso, the Chopin group, autistic children directed by Angela Boccia, the tenor Giuseppe Gambi, the singer Marika Arciero will perform. The Dance Sport Academy dance school of Adele and Marco Salvo will be present throughout the event with dance performances by its students. Grand finale, Sunday 28 April at 9.00 pm, with the concert by Roberto Colella, author, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Roberto Colella is the frontman of the Neapolitan band La Maschera, much loved by a transversal audience, one of the most interesting and followed voices of contemporary Neapolitan music .

Music

– On Saturday 27 April, in Casapulla, jazz guitarist Pietro Condorelli will present his new album, “Native Language”, to the public. During the live show he will perform the songs from the album with the “Pietro Condorelli Native Language Trio”.

– The Garibaldi Theater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere is preparing to welcome the second appointment of the “Mirrors of Music: University and City in harmony” series: “The clarinet at work” with Albo Botta on the clarinet and Giuseppe Galiano on the piano on the music of F. Sebastiani. Please remember that entry is free while seats last.

– As part of the Organ Festival, double appointment on the weekend: Friday 26 April at 8.00 pm in Vairano Scalo at the Church of SS. Cosma e Damiano will be performed by Antonio Colasurdo while on Saturday 27 April at 8.00 pm in Alvignano at the Santuario dell’Addolorata Giovanna Tricarico will perform. Entrance is free.

– On Friday 26 April the group “Il canto del sud” will perform at the multifunctional building of Strangolagalli in Castel di Sasso. The evening is part of the “Divine Villages. A journey through history 5.0” series, which involves six municipalities in the Caserta area, a food and wine journey that combines music, history and local tradition.

– At the Teatro Civico 14 in Caserta on Saturday 27 April at 8pm, the Giglio/Prosperi company stages “Interno camera”, a project selected for “Scritture” by Lucia Calamaro, 2019 Carrozzerie not The protagonists, Marta and Pietro, are two thirty-year-olds who they live in a tiny studio apartment.

Events

– The Italian Federation of Sports Walkers has organized the fifth edition of the “Sgambettata”, a non-competitive recreational-sports event, on 28 April in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, which will have the hallmark of the specialty since it has reached its first five years with ever-increasing success. There are three planned distances to choose from: 6 km – 12 km – 21 km, starting at 8.30 from the Urban Park in via dei Romani, behind the Campania Amphitheatre.

– Until May 26th, “Brick Live-Ocean – Your Lego world” arrives at the Maria Carolina Gardens in Caserta. With many millions of Lego bricks, the possibility of playing together with the whole family, freeing imagination and creativity in the name of a world full of ageless colors and emotions. Park open on Fridays from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 8pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm.

– The horses return to the suggestive riding track of the Royal Site of Carditello, after the restoration works that affected the parterre. The Royal Palace of Carditello, on Sunday 28 April, will host the seventh edition of the Cavalli & Cavalieri equestrian event. A grandiose show – free and open to the public – to relive the historical carousel with the performance of the 4th Carabinieri Horse Regiment and the musical notes of the Fanfare.
