A pact among all for Avellino. It would be beautiful

It would be really nice if all the candidates for the tricolor band of the capital, once made official, made precise commitments before the city, common commitments in the exclusive interest of the community, to guarantee maximum transparency in administrative action. It would be nice if they committed to publishing all the policy resolutions and related decisions in accordance with the law, to guarantee the operation of all the commissions from the beginning, to outsource the organization of municipal competitions, to reduce direct negotiations to a minimum and external assignments, to scrupulously avoid incestuous proximity with companies and companies that operate for the Municipality, opaque collections to promote events and initiatives.

It would be nice and necessary, in light of what is emerging in relation to the investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office into the Festa administration. The foundations of that system must be sought first and foremost in the claim to govern secretly, well protected from any form of control over administrative action, be it preventive, contextual or posthumous, and it is undeniable, regardless of the merit of the crimes contested and of what will be the developments in the judicial field, that in recent years Palazzo di città has become the epicenter of a sprawling system of power, which has been fueled by a toxic proximity between public power and private interests, in shameless patronage practices that have found legitimacy in that opacity.

Nothing transcendental, a simple document, shared and of a few lines, which all candidates for the tricolor band should present jointly with the city, a solemn commitment to avoid a repeat of what has happened in recent years in the future. It would be important, very important. It would be the best way to open a new phase in the city’s affairs, to project the community into a democratic dispute free from poison and rancor, to lay the foundations for true pacification, to affirm basic principles of democratic civilization which in recent years have been trampled upon and in which everyone, especially those who have been at Gianluca Festa’s side in recent years, should recognize themselves without hesitation. The first victims of that system, on the other hand, are the thousands of respectable citizens who believed that narrative.

It is not, therefore, a question of pronouncing sentences of conviction or acquittal against Festa and the other people involved in the investigations of the Prosecutor’s Office. It is simply a matter of re-establishing a civil democratic dialectic, of reaffirming the common destiny of a community. That’s all.
