Catanzaro focuses on female entrepreneurship

Busy women to build training and growth paths for other women. An intergenerational effort that aims to create the conditions for full valorization and integration of women’s skills and competences in the world of work. It is from this necessity that the partnership between the committee for female entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce of
Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia and the Soroptimist International D’Italia of Catanzaro.

A partnership hitherto implemented informally through common initiatives, now made official with the stipulation of a memorandum of understanding binding the two organizations to continue on the path to achieving full gender equality.

Upon signing the document, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Pietro Falbothe president of the committee for female entrepreneurship, Antonella Mancusoand the president of the Soroptimist of
Catanzaro, Stefania Muzzi.

The protocol aims to develop, in agreement with the chamber of commerce, the
its committee and the association, educational and orientation programs, research and development projects for the promotion of female skills by encouraging the pursuit of leadership positions.

The form of collaboration identified to achieve these goals is that of a partnership aimed at ensuring the exchange of information, knowledge and educational-technical-scientific skills for the purpose of creating a broader and more synergistic ecosystem to support the female world.

The main objectives to be pursued, through the creation of this new partnership, are the promotion of entrepreneurship, innovation and local development, with a consequent increase in female employment. Aims that we intend to achieve through the joint organization of activities aimed at promotingfemale educationespecially in the Stem subjects particularly requested today in the world of work.

To support entrepreneurship by providing a new impetus to research and development of innovative processes and valorisation of female skills. The chamber of commerce, the committee for female entrepreneurship and Soroptimist are therefore committed to “develop adequate forms of connection between the realities they represent to improve the growth of skills of women – entrepreneurs, workers or students – and provide the tools necessary for the development of those skills aimed at improving their lives”.

Antonella Mancuso’s speech

“The CIF has the task of identifying suitable tools for the creation and development of businesses women in the area as well as creating a network of synergies with other local bodies and institutions that allow us to strengthen the role of women in the world of entrepreneurship” declared the president of the committee, Antonella Mancuso.

“The protocol signed today tends to create paths suitable to promote a common reflection on the role of women in the economy by examining critically the challenges and opportunities present in contemporary society while also representing
a precious opportunity to exchange ideasdelve into topics, promote concrete actions to favor gender equality and female empowerment in the economic sphere”.

Muzzi of Soroptimist: “promoting female talent”

“This protocol has the clear objective of developing skills, economic autonomy and professional women” added the president of the Soroptimist of Catanzaro, Stefania Muzzi. “It comes from the awareness that too often their abilities are underestimated or ignored therefore it is our duty to recognize and promote female talents in all sectors but above all guarantee equal opportunities”.

“In line with the objectives of the protocol we want to create a more future inclusive, Soroptimist will actively collaborate with the Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee and will share resources, experiences and skills so that new initiatives can be developed entrepreneurial initiatives, enhance capable and determined female entrepreneurs and create training courses providing those tools aimed at acquiring necessary skills, useful in the world of Work”.

“Women entrepreneurs and professionals come together to drive change and inspire future generations. We are convinced that with this protocol we will open a new path for build a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable future for all women in the area”.

Falbo: “important piece for gender equality”

“It is another important piece that adds to the activities that the company is carrying out very well committee for female entrepreneurship, directed by president Antonella Mancuso” concluded the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia, Pietro Falbo.

“Today an excellent relationship with Soroptimist, represented by the president, is consolidated Stefania Muzzi. At the center of this new synergy is the need to target and develop the stem skills, which are currently largely absent in the world of work. It is not a case that mistmaching Italian reaches 54%, practically more than half of companies can’t find those indispensable skills, to be implemented in the company’s growth path.
