After Chiara Iezzi, the first name revealed in recent weeks, all the international protagonists of ‘Under The Stars’ have been revealed in these hours: a film by American director Michelle Danner, world-famous author and acting teacher, which is being filmed in Puglia in these days. Iezzi is therefore joined by Golden Globe (and Emmy) winners Toni Collette (Hereditary), Andy Garcia (Ocean’s 11), Alex Pettyfer (The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare) and Eva De Dominici (The Cleaning Lady). Also on stage are Rob Estes (After), Jessica Michel Serfaty (The Ride) and Vincent Riotta (Il Capo dei Capi, among others).
Director Danner, with producer Pia Patatian (president of worldwide sales at Arclight Films and CEO of Nura Films) and screenwriter Victoria Vinuesa, thus chose Puglia for the filming of the film – which has already begun a couple of weeks ago: Campi Salentina, Casalabate, Lecce and Otranto are in the spotlight for a romantic comedy on which the Italian producer Giangi Foschini and his Apulian partners Deborha Brandonisio and Leo De Matteis of Brandos Film are also working, who are taking care of the executive production of the film.
“Not only Puglia as the setting for the filming, but also in the technical cast, composed almost entirely of Apulian professionals with years of experience behind them – comment the Italian producers – and with the support of the Apulia Film Commission, we believe that this film takes the flight and will gain international success, also because it will be distributed by one of the most important Hollywood distributors, Arclight Films which will handle international sales in Cannes and by Capstone which will handle sales in the USA”.
