The Cassa Edile of the Province of Brindisi has joined the WelfareCare project dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer, organizing a day in which free mammography screenings will be carried out for registered workers, but also for women family members of registered workers, aged between 35 and 49 years old.

The event will take place on May 4th from 8.30am to 5.30pm, on the Regina Margherita seafront in Brindisi, at the foot of the Virgilio staircase, where the mobile laboratory will be located.

The choice to join the project arises from the awareness of the significant role that the Cassa Edile can play in non-subsidized assistance, especially in a period in which the need for diagnostic services is strongly felt due to the impacts of the recent pandemic. These difficult years have highlighted a reduction in breast cancer screening, with significant risks for public health.

Investing in specific prevention initiatives like this is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to the well-being of the Brindisi area. Prevention is an essential right for everyone and, through this event, we want to ensure that no one is left behind.

The message we wish to convey by embracing this project is clear: health is an undisputed priority and prevention an act of love towards oneself and one’s loved ones and the Cassa Edile di Brindisi wants to position itself as a point of reference not only for safety and the well-being of construction workers, but also of their families.

In fact, it is the first appointment of a path strongly supported by ANCE, Feneal Uil, Filca Cisl and Fillea CGIL which, also thanks to the collaboration with the local association Cuore di Donna, intends to promote other initiatives dedicated to oncological prevention.
