As it is known, Wes Ball will be in theaters soon with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apesbut, on the agenda, he already has an extremely ambitious project, namely the film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda which will be produced in tandem by Sony Pictures and from Nintendo.

On the occasion of an interview to promote the film which will be in Italian cinemas from Wednesday, Ball spoke about what he learned on the set of the film, such as working with a very high budget:

With each film you take advantage of the whole experience, and understand for example what to change the next time. The aspect ratio of this film was ambitious, compared to e.g Maze Runner. I think the budget of the whole saga Maze Runner is in any case less than Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. So working with these new aspect ratios was fantastic, it was cool and it gave me a chance to have fun with new giant toys, and the visual effects part is on a completely different level. Let’s talk about some of the greatest CGI talents I’ve been able to work with. I believe I will take all of this with me into the next realm I go to [Zelda].

He then mentioned another aspect that he will have to deal with and which will be very useful to him in the case of The Legend of Zelda:

[Quello che ho imparato] it’s also dealing with the expectations for a film from a big franchise like The Planet of the Apes. It was new territory for me and I hope to be able to apply all this and my experience to the next project. It will come in handy somehow.
