Sunday 5 May is International Midwife Day and for the occasion three events dedicated to mothers have been organized at the Sant’Anna hospital in Como.

The meetings will take place on the 0-Blu floor in the training rooms. Participation is free with reservation on the Eventbrite website (www.eventbrite.it in the search field write Asst Lariana and at that point the three proposed events will take place). Each ticket corresponds to a reservation for two people; in the case of the meeting dedicated to cuddles, in addition to the couple, the presence of the newborn is also included.
“New mothers: cuddles with the newborn (0-6 months)”: a meeting to discover and explore the importance of massage, a practice that strengthens the relationship with children and has positive effects on their physical, psychological and emotional development and maturation. There are four time slots that can be booked: 1) 10.00-11.00 2) 11.30-12.30 3) 15.00-16.00 4) 16.30-17.30. Recommendations: wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat (such as yoga mats).
“The benefits of the movement for the health of pregnant women”:doing sport during pregnancy is both appropriate and possible and 30-40 minutes a day are enough to do good for yourself and your unborn child. There are four time slots that can be booked: 1) 10.00-11.00 2) 11.30-12.30 3) 15.00-16.00 4) 16.30-17.30. Recommendations: wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat (such as yoga mats).
“Asst Lariana: Consultations, birth path and birth point and visit to the delivery room”:an opportunity to learn about and learn more about Asst Lariana’s activities and services dedicated to future mothers. There are two time slots that can be booked: 1) 10.00-11.002) 15.00-16.00.
There International Day of the Midwife was established for the first time in 1991 by the International Confederation of Midwives and since then it has been an event that places the social and health value of the midwife at the center of attention, as well as her key role in the protection and promotion of the health of the woman throughout her life cycle.
