In Massa Lombarda the gypsy jazz of Manomanouche in concert for the Crossroads festival

Sunday 28 April the traveling festival Crossroads get back to Massa Lombarda. At 9pm the Sala del Carmine will host the concert by Manomanouche, quartet specializing in gypsy jazz. On stage there will be such specialists as Nunzio Barbieri and Luca Enipeo to acoustic guitars, Pierre Steeve Jino Touche on double bass and Francesco Django Barbieri on the clarinet.

Since 2001, i Manomanouche they dedicated themselves to the promotion of gypsy music, characterized by melodic flow and syncopated rhythms, known as manouche style. Inspired by Django Reinhardt, an icon of gypsy jazz, the group has established itself as a point of reference in the musical panorama, reinterpreting the repertoire of the 1930s. Their concerts, far from being simple nostalgic homages, present new arrangements, Italian influences, selections by other authors and original compositions, revitalizing the swing-gypsy tradition. While remaining faithful to historical models, the quartet demonstrates an ability to adapt to modern times. The members of the group come from different musical experiences, including collaboration with Paolo Conte.

Crossroads 2024 is organized by Jazz Network in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Landscape of the Emilia-Romagna Region and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and numerous other institutions. The festival boasts the patronage of ANCI Emilia-Romagna. The concert is organized in collaboration with the Culture Department of the Municipality of Massa Lombarda.
