The most anticipated (and talked about) couple on the red carpet? Damiano David And Dove Cameron arrived at the 2024 Met Gala hand in hand, while looks of love and hugs immediately caught the attention of the flashbulbs. For them it is the first “Met” as lovers, given that the debut dates back to the pre-Grammy 2024 (while their relationship began last September). A love that has seen the Maneskin singer spend more and more time in America in the sweet company of Dove: it was with her that he was the protagonist of the “Fashion Oscars” at the recent night in New York.
The couple – present in Anna Wintour’s highly selected guest list – showed off a coordinated Diesel look chosen to interpret the dress code of the evening, The Garden of Time, inspired by the short novel of the same name by JG Ballard which sees at the center of the story a couple who live in a decadent estate, immersed in culture, arts and flowers.

The interpretation was fitting for the theme The Garden of Time, inspired by the short novel of the same name by JG Ballard which sees at the center of the story a couple who live in a decadent estate, immersed in culture, arts and flowers. The couple interpreted it masterfully through the choice of two looks by Diesel characterized by a devoré fabric that creates a sensual see-through effect, thus exposing only some parts of the body. A choice that further enhanced the star image of Damiano – who recently took on the role of actor for Maserati, reminding us of a modern Mastroianni – thanks to a classic black tuxedo without a shirt that highlighted his tattoos, distributed in different parts of the body.
Elegance and natural beauty were instead the basis of the look that Glenn Martens (Creative Director of Diesel) “painted” on Dove Cameron with a chiffon dress with a floral print that played on transparencies and a sensual nude effect. The entire dress, composed of 60 meters of tulle and 60 meters of chiffon, is also composed of a handmade corset laced on, under the dress. Finally, on her feet she wore a pair of Perspex platform shoes, adorned with a printed fabric flower, and a disheveled chiffon handbag.
