PALERMO – In #a recent night operation, Palermo State Police personnel #discovered in an abandoned structure, a clandestine #laboratory for the refining of narcotic substances, seizing over #a kilo and #a half of drugsa, partially already packaged in doses ready for sale.
The blitz in #a laboratory
The discovery and seizure are the result of the constant control activities of the territory carried out by the agents of the Police Station “Zisa-Borgo Nuovo” along the streets of quarter homonym. Around 3 in the morning, during #a patrol in via Lancia di Brolo, officers noticed that the door to #a warehouse, known to be abandoned, was ajar. Suspicious of the situation, they decided to examine more closely and proceed to #a search.
The officers #discovered that the room not only served as #a #drug production #laboratory but was #also still “hot”, indicating #a recent presence before their arrival. Inside, various tools used for illicit processing were found, including pots, burners, ladles, precision scales, and approximately 1600 grams of hashish, marijuana And crack, some of which are already packaged. Furthermore, on one #table there was #a pistol without #serial #number 7.65 caliber, with #a magazine containing six cartridges. The material has been seized and ballistic tests are underway on the weapon to determine its origin and whether it has been used previously.
Investigations are underway to identify who ran the #laboratory before the police intervened. In the meantime, the agents of the “Zisa-Borgo Nuovo” police station have intensified checks in the area to obtain further information on the laboratory.
An arrest at Zisa
Shortly afterwards, in #a neighboring area of the city, it was a 46 year old man from Palermo was arrestedVM, found in possession of #a significant quantity of drugs while in his car in Zisa neighborhood. Given his previous convictions for drug-related crimes, officers have searched the carfinding 60 grams of hash under the back seat and 1,075 euros on the man. Subsequently, #a search was carried out in his home, where they stayed #a further 12 grams of cocaine, 65 grams of hashish and 4 grams of marijuana were found and seized.
The narcotic was seized and the man was arrestedwith the provision validated.
