An accident on State Road 16 in Bisceglie was avoided, two stray dogs were saved – BisceglieLive.it

A serious accident on state road 16 bis was avoided thanks to the timely intervention of the Local Police of Bisceglie, who saved two stray dogs that had ventured onto the road.

The event occurred in the late afternoon of April 25th, near the entrance to Bisceglie Nord, towards Bari, on this important road artery. Several reports to the switchboard of the Bisceglie Local Police Command warned of the danger posed by two wandering dogs in the middle of the road. A local police patrol was immediately sent to the scene, where the officers, despite the heavy traffic at the time, managed to block traffic and save the two dogs with the help of two volunteer motorists.

Once secured inside the service vehicle, the dogs were transported and hospitalized in an authorized kennel. Currently, Bisceglie Local Police personnel are conducting checks to identify the owners of the dogs via microchip, if present.
