«Anas will pay 100% of the movie costs». Yesterday another important point arrived from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in favor of the territory and the Queen, after the announcement on Tuesday evening linked to the resumption of work starting from 6 May at the (only) Colonno construction site of the Tremezzina variant.
The ministry made it known that “Minister Matteo Salvini has followed the dossier with extreme attention”, after the mobilization that our newspaper and the territory have put in place in recent days by virtue on the one hand of the almost total stoppage of the works dated 15 April and on the other by the uncertainty on the percentage that Anas would put on the table to guarantee the presence of the movieri between now and the next three years, against 1 and a half million euros of certified expenses. At this point, given the green light from Anas – through the ministry – to 100% of the total coverage of the cost of the motorri, the model could be replicated for the entire duration of the construction site of the Tremezzina variant, with Anas which on Tuesday evening, at the end of the six-hour summit with the Sis Consortium (and with the ministry and Arpa), he made it known that the completion date of 10 April 2028 “has never been in question”.
The announcement
“The Prefecture of Como has written to the ministry proposing full coverage of expenses (so as to relieve the burden on the Municipalities) and the MIT has given the green light”, reads the note sent yesterday by Anas. Note in which it was also noted that “work will resume by 10 May” (incidentally the construction site will restart in Colonno on Monday 6 May), while on Tuesday late morning the coordination table will meet again in Villa Gallia led by the prefect Andrea Polichetti and the provincial president Fiorenzo Bongiasca. The draft Anas ordinance linked to the one-way system for tourist buses and the daytime ban on transit of heavy vehicles will be presented, appropriately revised after the TAR had returned it to the sender on 28 September.
As regards the relationship between MIT and the territory, «Minister Salvini will be on site (i.e. in Colonno, inside the construction site of the Tremezzina variant) on May 4th».
In support of the resumption of work – without prejudice to the heavy uncertainties still weighing on the north portal of Griante -, the deputy prime minister and minister of Infrastructure expressed “satisfaction” with these concrete and positive signs. It should be noted that Tuesday’s meeting will be the second meeting of the Coordination Table on the variant in twenty days. It had never happened in two and a half years of work.
The scenario changes
It is clear that with 100% coverage of movieri expenditure – Anas, it is worth remembering, had responded to the city Prefecture confirming a generic increase in the participation quota which at that time stood at 59.40% – the months to come are less nebulous as regards the monitoring of the bottlenecks between Colonno and Ossuccio and thus of the Gravedona bottleneck.
To guarantee a peaceful summer in the face of an already existing tourist boom, one element is still missing from the appeal: the reconfirmation of the Tremezzina Polstrada Detachment, which in recent years has benefited – and a lot – the cause of the state road 340 and as well as the traffic of the entire area between the lake and the valleys.
