Appennino Smart, We Love Potenza, Edm Artelier, Lu Uarniedd’, announce the competition “POWER FLOURISHES”which aims to entice and stimulate the citizens of the HISTORICAL CENTER OF POTENZA a make your city more pleasant and hospitable by embellishing it with flowers and plants and floral arrangements both for personal satisfaction and as a testimony of LOVE for your cityboth to offer a kind gesture of welcome to visitors during the spring/summer season.

The competition consists of in the embellishment of balconies, windows, windowsills – outdoor areas (outdoor dining spaces attached to public premises) but also of shop windows, entrances, doors and atriums.

Competitors may use any type of green/flowering ornamental plant.

The use of dry plants, wood or other natural objects as completion, support and decoration is permitted where, however, greenery is the predominant element of the setup.

The setups they must be visible from the street.

Participation in the contest is free and open to all citizens of Potenza with houses, offices, activities in the historic center.

The competition includes two categories:

A) balconies, windows and doors set up by resident and non-resident citizens, owners or tenants, individual citizens, associations, bodies, condominium groups of Potenza;

B) shop windows and dehors set up by traders, professional studios, offices, hoteliers.

The request for participation it can be sent from 22 April to 5 May 2024 by email at [email protected]. clearly specifying address and telephone numbers.

The setups must be completed by May 15, 2024.

The evaluation of the arrangements will take place in two stages, in the week from 15 to 22 May 2024, and then a second in the week from 15 to 22 September 2024. The plants throughout the period will not have to be replaced but adequately maintained.

The evaluation will be carried out taking into account the following criteria: o the combination of colors of the flowers, favoring those which, for the duration of flowering, can maintain the beauty of the arrangement for longer o originality of the composition o healthy and luxuriant growth of the flowers and of the plants or insertion into the architectural context or harmony of the setup.

The Jury is composed as follows:

– flower expert

– landscape architect

– I photograph

– journalist

– One representative for each sponsor

The members of the Jury cannot participate in the Competition.

The Jury appoints a President from among its members.

The Jury will carry out, jointly or individually, every visit or inspection necessary to assign the score and draw up the final ranking, without any prior notice.

No compensation is due to the members of the Jury.

Every decision of the Jury is final.

The awards will take place with a public ceremony to be communicated to the winners.

The sponsors of the Competition will offer products, services or products from their business as prizes.

There will be three prizes in total and will go to the third, second and first place in each category.

The list of sponsors and prizes will be distributed with appropriate communication on the website www.comeapotenza.it

The Jury may however extend the award ceremony with other symbolic participation prizes to other particularly deserving participants.

Membership and participation in the Competition entails acceptance unconditionally and without reservation of all the rules contained in these Regulations.

By joining the Competition, the participant authorizes Appennino Smart to use the floral composition created free of charge for any photographic or advertising reproductions.
