La Spezia – 1,600 passages were recorded today on the first one-way day on the Sentiero Azzurro of the Cinque Terre. A measure adopted by Cinque Terre National Park to reduce the impact on the most popular routes and manage flows. The measure was implemented in the 9am-2pm time slot, the most popular among visitors, for a total of around 320 people per hour. There were important presences in the villages and on the paths on the first day of a long spring weekend.
President Donatella Bianchi confirms: “This morning I walked the Verde Azzurro path between Mᴏnterosso and Vernazza and I can confirm that the one-way route did not betray the expectations of the thousands of tourists who they chose the Cinque Terre to live a unique experience between nature and villages along the ancient paths. This is orderly and respectful tourism that is good for the Cinque Terre – he underlined -.
