CREMONA – The mayor Gianluca Galimberti shows the children and their families the large canvas by Genovesino, The multiplication of loaves and fishes in the Salone dei Quadri and invites those awarded with the Resistance scholarships – awarded yesterday as part of the celebrations of 25 April – to multiply their talents, to identify the good to share with others.

The mayor is inspired and asks to make «culture, reading, your passions the driving force to build and identify the good and build your own and shared happiness». And he points to Christ who distributes the loaves and fishes because in them he sees the good that exists and the possibility of increasing it. At the same time, the image of a mother breastfeeding and a child jumping on her shoulders suggests to him the metaphor of the culture that nourishes, of the ability to share with others what one knows and what one is for the common good.

Among the new features of the 2024 edition is the scholarship entitled to Gianluca Viallidelivered by Giorgia Arata for having been able to combine the sporting commitments of rowing with the excellence of study: «My path at Aselli in keeping faith with my passion for sport and study times was rewarded. Today I am studying Naval Engineering.” Vialli’s nephew, Riccardo, explains: «An award that aims to recognize those who have been able to combine dedication to sport and school».
