Cosenza – Evening event to rediscover cinema and the historic center

Cosenza – An in-depth sector path, aimed at cinema and audiovisual professionals, which also aims to promote the rediscovery of the historic center of Cosenza, and a documentary dedicated to Tony Gaudioa pioneer of cinematographic photography born in the city of Bruzi, the first Italian in history to win the coveted Oscar Award.

These are the two projects that will be presented in an evening event organized by Open Fields Productions to tell the latest initiatives carried out in 2024 by the cine-audiovisual production company and which have seen the historic center of the city of Cosenza as protagonist, in different ways, with the involvement of the Municipal Administration and bodies such as the Calabria Film Commission Foundation .

In fact, at the center of the evening, moderated by Ernesto Orrico, there will be “MovieClass”the winning project of the Agenda Urbana call, and “The Lost Legacy of Tony Gaudio”, the documentary by Alessandro and Fabrizio Nucci, shot in Calabria, Piedmont and the United States.

For “MovieClass”, speakers will include: Francesco Alimena, City Councilor of Cosenza, delegate for the implementation of the Urban Agenda; Elio Fortunato of Revolution of the Cuttlefish, general coordination of the Urban Agenda; Fabrizio Nucci and Ivana Russo of Open Fields Productions, project managers of “MovieClass”; Laura Migliano, EcoMuvi, Raffaele Cimino, teachers of the first three masterclasses; Veronica Buffone, Councilor for Welfare; Donata Chiricò, expert in theory and sign language, professor of Philosophy of Language at the University of Calabria.

For “The Lost Legacy of Tony Gaudio”, speakers will include: Franz Caruso, mayor of Cosenza; Alessandro Nucci, author and director; Fabrizio Nucci, author and producer; Howard Ray, actor; Alessandro Papaianni, composer of the soundtrack; the Calabria Film Commission Foundation; Eugenio Attanasio and Maria Rosaria Donato, Cineteca della Calabria; via video link from the United States, Gino Gaudio, descendant of Tony Gaudio, Mary Reid and Gavin Glynn, executive producers from Los Angeles.
