Lamezia, New CDU invites collaboration after budget approval

Lamezia Terme – “History tells us that the periods preceding the approval of a budget in the various Municipalities are always uncertain and the budgets are at risk of rejection, failures and pushes to send the Mayor and the current Administration ‘home’. As per tradition, therefore, this solution was also feared in the Municipality of Lamezia Terme but, fortunately, many municipal councilors kept their word to their voters and gave a positive vote to the budget illustrated and discussed. Analyzing the evaluation, however, it is clear that this choice was not only motivated by electoral commitments, but by a precise, accurate and without prejudice analysis on the part of the councillors”. Thus the city coordinator of the New CDU, Giancarlo Muraca, and the city president of the New CDU Giuseppe Muraca

“We of the New CDU have always been politically at the center and alongside this Administration but, this time, we were even more convinced because we analyzed the budget and the results obtained up to now – they continue – We must also consider that up to now we had to go through a very critical period especially from an economic point of view and due to the lack of human resources. Given the prospects that will soon be realized, we could only choose to vote in favor of the budget. In the past the city believed in many promises that were never realized and now, however, we are not talking about promises but about financing and works that have already started or are ready to start. Of course there are still many critical issues and things to improve and achieve, but we have always maintained that this Administration and this majority are able to resolve them. It’s easy to criticize and highlight the things that are wrong, but only a few suggest solutions as we have done many times. The budget recovery, the approval of the PSC, separate waste collection, school services, attention towards the weakest, the adaptation of sports facilities and school facilities, transport, just to list a few, have improved and have done strides”.

“However, we want to congratulate the current majority who have continued to place their trust in this Administration – they conclude – Now is the time for everyone to collaborate, until the end of the electoral mandate, in a loyal, constructive and if necessary critical way as we have always been doing so and, at the end of the mandate, the voters will choose and evaluate the actions of the majority and of the individual councillors. It is not right to delegate the decision to interrupt such profitable work to some municipal councillor, who is dissatisfied or opposed due to prejudice. Let’s help and bring ideas to this Administration, let’s remember that the idea suggested and implemented is an advantage for the city and for the citizens”.
