All eyes on Saturday evening on the big match between CGC Viareggio and Decom Roller Matera, the most significant match of the fifteenth day of Group B of Serie A2 roller hockey. Biancucci’s team is still undefeated, with the only draw in Camaiore, missing another piece to get to just a few points, 3, of the mathematical promotion to Serie A1. The Lucanians are suffering in this period, the long trips to Central Italy, the fourth in just over a month, but so far they have managed to stay close in the wake of the Camaiore-Pumas duo, in fourth place.
But behind them there is an important tussle every day, namely the relegation fight. Direct clash between Campolongo Hospital Roller Salerno and Startit Rizzo Prato, divided by four points, but which for now make the difference. One of those matches marked in red for the Granata to seek salvation, as the matches are now coming to an end. Prato is not yet safe but hopes are high after the last-gasp victory against Camaiore. Also for the Innovation Sarzana range it’s a topical moment but in the house of Blue Factor Castiglione it won’t be easy to score points. The Maremma team have reached 15 and for them it is the third to last match, given the advance won against Salerno. The Rossoneri continue their progressive growth, even for their mistakes, up to now, they have been paid very dearly.
Not least the Versilia Hockey Forte who will play away on the track of Wheeling Camaiore: both have to make up for the defeat of the weekend even if Forte is the one who complains more, defeated just a few seconds before the siren, after having grabbed the equalizer with 20 seconds to go. However, Camaiore must maintain high concentration to remain on the podium, because Matera and Follonica are lurking. Another important match for this objective is the match between the very young teams Farmaè Pumas Viareggio and Iren Follonica, divided by just two points. Bomber Cabiddu is available after the disqualification and could make the difference in an already balanced match. However, Mirko Bertolucci’s team has an edge on the Varignano track and can aspire to maintain the position it has deserved so far.
Three away games for the top teams in Group A which will probably once again impact the rankings, given that the home pitch factor becomes increasingly precious and decisive. It will therefore not be easy to confirm yourself TR Azzurra Novara, guest of the third to last Montecchio Precalcino which has now found its squareness and its balance. However, the absence of captain Zanini (a one-match suspension) is an important loss, which adds to the training problems in recent weeks. Salvation for the green and whites is now only a matter of a handful of points and therefore the match against Novara will be able to be played face to face, who have shown that they are struggling so much away from home. Three points that would put a nice exclamation point on the imminent season finale, now only four days away, or 16 points up for grabs. The offensive strength demonstrated in recent matches has no equal in Group A.
The long comeback of Symbol Modena there is no sign of stopping: 10 consecutive useful results and 7 consecutive victories, which make the Gialloblu the most informed team from February to today, and now they can play their chances of promotion as many insiders believed at the beginning of the season. On Sunday she will play in Correggio, when she will know the result of the other competitors, on a difficult parquet, even if the BDL Minimotor suffers from several absences including the prolonged absence of the injured Casari but also Amatulli. By fixing the defense, Symbol fixed its ranking, and goals from several players also arrived, just like the Reggio Emilia team, despite the absence of experienced players for the category. Scandian will try to reopen its opportunities from Seregno, which in turn needs vital points to stay another year in Serie A2. Giaroni’s team always arrived consistently in the area of goal, but it was the defensive side that was at fault; in Scandiano, however, the goals that had characterized the first round and which had made the difference up to this point were missing.
The Thiene will be the only team to play at home, hosting the last Telea Medical Sandrigo: with the full squad, Retis’s yellow and blue can strengthen their position for the podium, an important objective for a team that has surprised so far. Sandrigo is rediscovering the automatic mechanisms of the category but needs consistency at the net to save himself at this point of the season. Upper floors derby between Dyadema Roller Bassano and VenetaLab Breganze, two teams separated by one point but with the ambition of entering the top 5. Roller suffered the absence of striker Tottene, but still managed to win in Scandiano, and the Rossoneri managed to continue a wonderful season with the youngest team of all.
