Macerata, International Jazz Day at the Cesanelli hall: Perla Palmieri and Musicamdo Jazz Ensemble pay homage to Bacharach – Picchio News

The next Tuesday 30 Aprilat 9.15pmon the occasion of International Jazz Daythe Gran Sala Cesanelli of the Sferisterio of Macerata will become the stage for the special tribute to the legendary American pianist and composer Burt Bacharach.

Organized by Jazz music in collaboration with the Municipality of Macerata, UNIMC, the Marche Region and the Ministry of Culture, the concert promises an unforgettable evening dedicated to the master of pop music, who passed away in February last year. Bacharach, famous for his extraordinary fusion of high compositional quality and popular success, left an indelible mark on the musical panorama of the twentieth century.

The Musicamdo Jazz Ensemble, supported by the magnificent voice of Pearl Palmieriwill pay homage to Bacharach by performing his most famous songs, rich in soul and jazz influences, made immortal by the interpretations of artists of the caliber of Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin and Tom Jones.

Perla Palmieri, a young singer from the Marche region and winner of the Social Prize at the 2023 Massimo Urbani International Prize, currently known as the voice of the National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories, will guide the audience on a journey through Bacharach’s timeless repertoire.

The lineup, composed of talented musicians, will include Stefano Conforti on soprano and alto sax, Fabrizio Caraceni on tenor sax, Andrea Canzonetta on the trumpet, Daniele Maggi on the trombone, Tonino Monachesi on the guitar, Alessandro Menichelli at the piano, Giuseppe Barabucci on double bass and Roberto Bisello to the battery.
