Giuseppe Felice Peritore, a native of Agrigento by adoption having been vicar of the provincial public security authority for years and years, is the new police commissioner of Trapani. After having held the same position in Imperia (and before that as vicar in the police station of the city of the Temples), Peritore returned to work in Sicily.

The former deputy of the police commissioner of Agrigento will manage security at the festival: “250 men on the field also inside the Ariston”

The official settlement in Trapani is scheduled for May 6th. During his career he held further positions, especially in the province of Palermo. In Imperia he has been police commissioner from 2021 until today. A law graduate, qualified as a lawyer, he is 60 years old and joined the administration of the state police in 1988. The first place of assignment was the Bergamo police station. From 1990 to 2014 he worked in Palermo where he dealt with the fight against organized crime and the prevention of widespread crime. He was in Termini Imerese and Bagheria and held the role of director of the judicial police section of Digos. In Palermo he was also manager of the public safety police station in “Zisa – Borgo Nuovo”. He was also a teacher of police law in refresher and professional training courses.

In Trapani he will take the place of Salvatore La Rosa who was police commissioner for over 4 years.
