66 dockings in total until January 1st, 10 ships overnight, therefore stopping in Salerno for more than twenty-four hours, and over 100 thousand tourists arriving in the city. These are the numbers of the new cruise season that Salerno is preparing to experience. Having already started in March with the arrival of the Spirit of Discovery and then continued on the following 18th April with the docking of the Mein Schiff 6, the season will officially start next Saturday 27th April when it will once again be the Compagna Tui Cruises ship to dock at the Manfredi Pier. Salerno and the Zaha Hadid maritime station once again confirm themselves as the favorite port of call for the prestigious German company as well as on the international scene. In 2023, over 95 thousand passengers passed through and, with the 2024 calendar, an increase of 15% is expected compared to the previous year. Salerno therefore confirms itself as a regular stopover for numerous national and international cruises, with the luxury cruise tourism segment emerging in an even more prosperous manner for this season too, confirming how the city has strengthened its position as a cruise destination, being of excellent access to the Amalfi Coast and outpost for the discovery of the Cilento Coast. There are several new features for 2024: first of all the new daily short-range cabotage route to Capri which enriches the tourist offer of the port and which now includes three daily departures, the renewed internal layout of the Maritime Station which will optimize the management of flows passengers, while the outcome of the new connections to Cilento is also awaited, a further experience that tourists arriving at the Maritime Station will be able to live.
