NewTuscia – PRATO – As Vice President of the City Council of Prato, in these five years, I have personally dedicated myself constantly to monitoring all the public structures of our city. The continued neglect of the municipal swimming pool in Via Roma is an indelible stain on the management of the Democratic Party and the Municipal Administration of Prato. This scandal, which has been going on for years, is not only a symbol of management failure but also a clear demonstration of total indifference towards sport and Prato’s infrastructure. The degraded conditions, the interminable work and the illegal access represent a continuous humiliation for athletes and for all the citizens of Prato. The PD’s inability to effectively manage public resources has led to a crisis of confidence. Not only is there a constructive plan for the future missing, but a disastrous lack of transparency and accountability persists. Their strategy turned out to be a completely unsuccessful political “stopgap” despite the countless concrete alternative proposals we have provided in recent years to solve the problems we all know well. The claim to reform Prato sport, proposed by the Lista per Sport, which supported Mayor Biffoni, turned out to be a farce, an insult to the community that was hoping for real change. The time has come to put an end to these empty excuses. The citizens of Prato take note of this massacre and respond with a clear and concise message, inside the ballot box, on 8 and 9 June 2024. We in the League, together with the entire center-right of Prato and our candidate for Mayor Gianni Cenni, we are ready to take over the reins and guarantee a new era for Prato sports, appealing to all the people of Prato who want a better city, a city that respects and enhances its sports facilities and its citizens. Together we build an alternative, credible and achievable vision for the future of our Prato.
