Como coach Osian Roberts spoke at a press conference ahead of the match against Sampdoria.
Here are his words:
«When you play every three days you have to be very careful about every situation, especially on a physical level for the players. It might make sense to do some turnover, it makes sense to think about it, but so far we haven’t made any evaluations of this kind. Sampdoria is a great club, with an important history. They are fighting for the playoffs, they will be motivated, they will want to win the game at all costs. We cannot spend energy on the match between Venezia and Cremonese, what happens outside must not distract us. We must, as always, focus on our performance.”
«The players are all well, they will all be in Genoa for this match. There are many positive aspects of last Saturday, as there are some where we need to improve. It’s true that they were dangerous on our right, but I think there are more positive things to take from the last game than negative ones. We scored with many players. Anything is possible in football, it’s even possible that a bit of fear has taken over. We focus on our performances, performing positively makes it easier to win matches. This weekend we meet a team that will want to win 100%. When I arrived, we wanted to be in the position we are now. With four matchdays to go, with the possibility of being promoted directly to Serie A. In January we changed a lot, players arrived who have fit perfectly into the environment and are giving us a lot. The aspect that amazed me the most is seeing how the team works together. We hope that the best is yet to come.”
