New rotation of services within the municipal pharmacies of Arezzo. The various tests aimed at checking the heart, bones and blood pressure are periodically rotated between the eight pharmacies in the city and hamlets to ensure closeness and proximity to users, implementing a widespread model across the territory aimed at promoting well-being, prevention and monitoring your values. The current distribution will remain valid until Saturday 18 May, with citizens who will be able to undergo the various tests quickly, without waiting and with reliable results thanks to the telemedicine connection which allows any problems to be detected promptly.
Particular attention will continue to be paid to the control of cardiac activity carried out through the electrocardiographs available in the “Campo di Marte”, “Trionfo”, “Giotto”, “Fiorentina”, “San Giuliano” and “San Leo” pharmacies which allow to undergo a diagnostic test recommended for amateur or competitive athletes, for subjects at risk such as diabetics and hypertensives, and for checks in the event of the onset of signs or symptoms that can be linked to cardiac pathologies. A check lasting twenty-four hours can be carried out via the Cardiac Holter present at the “Campo di Marte”, “Trionfo”, “Giotto”, “Fiorentina”, “Mecenate” and “Ceciliano” pharmacies, while an analysis of the blood pressure trends for the whole day can be requested at the “Fiorentina” and “San Giuliano” pharmacies where the Holter Pressorio will be available. The possibility of undergoing Computerized Bone Densitometry will instead be provided at the “Trionfo” with instrumentation which, through ultrasound waves on the heel, evaluates the qualitative and quantitative changes in the skeletal structure, with useful indications for the prevention of osteoporosis and for any adjustments of lifestyles.
This network of services will be integrated by the activities conducted by the Nursing Space of the “Campo di Marte” which configures a desk available for the primary health needs of citizens seven days a week, in a regime of subsidiarity with the National Health Service and with the union between the professional skills of pharmacists and nurses. The services provided include medications, intramuscular injection cycles, body mass index measurement, blood pressure measurement, administration of eye drops, streptococcal swabs, removal of stitches and ear cleaning, with the most recent innovation being the examination of urinary parameters to identify infections, diabetes, hypertension, renal insufficiency and other nephrological pathologies. «The rotation of instruments and the Nursing Space – explains Dr. Massimo Sisani, CEO of the Municipal Pharmacies of Arezzo, – reiterate our desire to consolidate the “Service Pharmacy” model capable of providing a first aid to citizens in terms of prevention, evaluation and self-care».
