ANCONA – Tensions at the Passetto near the War Memorial where the Municipality of Ancona organized the ceremony on 25 April. A group of people with Palestinian flags wanted to access the area reserved for the celebration for the liberation of Italy but engaged in a heated confrontation with the police and administrators. “They won’t let us participate in the April 25th celebration just because we have the flags of Palestine”, they shouted, while the police commissioner Capocasa tried to calm things down, in the presence of the vice president of the city council Francesco Rubini.
