VENICE LIDO – Venice Beaches change the rules to access the bathrooms of the bathing establishment: only six bracelets are included in the price of the hut. We are talking about the “Zona A” beach establishments on the D’Annunzio seafront, San Nicolò, as well as the Blue Moon. To have more up to a maximum of fifteen per hut – from this year you have to pay a surcharge: 10 euros each. A novelty that some customers do not like and has not failed to raise a series of protests from users at the Lido. The number of bracelets, obviously, is closely linked to how many people actually frequent the hut. This counter-move was thought up by the company (which is 100 percent controlled by the Municipality) also with the clear aim of bringing some order and trying to combat, as far as possible, illegal construction and overcrowding. Only with the bracelet which however is not nominal and can be exchanged or used in turns – bathers can access the showers, toilets and fountains located along the pavements. In all the beach establishments on the island, overcrowding of the huts is reported (dozens of families joining forces to split the price of a hut). Anna Maria Vanuzzo, spokesperson for her hut frequented by a group of people, is not there.
«THEY DID NOT WARN US»
The lady also wrote to Venezia Spiagge itself and to the Municipality. “The response I received attacking Vanuzzo seemed even more of a mockery to me. Until last year, up to 15 bracelets were given, subject to a deposit of 5 euros each. This year the regulation was changed, but it is not no mention was made of this change. Customers should have been notified in time and before paying. In our case I have already paid the entire fee in a single payment, approximately 3400 euros per season and I believe that, in addition to the hut, there is the right to use the services, including the bathrooms, it is better to have more bracelets available even at the cost of paying the deposit”. Venezia Spiagge defends the choice: “Our desire is not at all to make money. – says the president of Venezia Spiagge Pierluigi Padovan – In fact, the ideal for us would be that no one has to buy extra bracelets as the six free ones that are enough are enough they will be given to the owner of the hut, together with the keys to the hut, at the beginning of the season. We want to try to guarantee a better service for everyone, while educating others about respect. Last year we introduced the limit of 15 bracelets per hut give as many as 33 for each contract. It is obvious that with 600 huts there would soon be chaos. This year’s innovation is included in the regulation that the lady then signed.”
