CIVITAVECCHIA – From the 5 Star Movement we receive and publish:
“Like every year, the M5S firmly adheres to the celebrations for April 25th. The anti-fascist character of the Italian Republic needs to be underlined especially in unfortunate times like the ones we live in. Times of abuse towards the weakest, times of creeping racism, times in which racist and fascist regurgitations show no signs of manifesting themselves even through the action of one of the worst governments in our history. A government whose priorities are the limitation of personal freedoms, the mortification of the less wealthy classes. A government that is strong with the weak and weak with the strong on any occasion, especially in foreign policy where we were once a point of reference for balance and mediation capacity. A government whose representatives openly declare themselves fascists and who cannot even pronounce the term Antifascist. Convinced therefore that never more than in this period is it necessary to remember what our country went through during that dark page of history and how much they died to guarantee our freedom as a country and as a civil society, we join with ANPI in tomorrow’s celebrations which will start from the Resistance Park at 10 am and we invite all Civitavecchio residents to participate”
