The Lazio Regional Council has approved the establishment of a Europe Desk in Civitavecchia, a move welcomed by the local community and local businesses. This new structure, which will be located in the “Porta futuro Lazio” space in via Dalmazia, is part of the regional network of Europe Help Desk and represents an important information and support resource for the opportunities offered by the European Funds.
A Strategic Initiative for the Territory
Councilor Emanuela Mari (FdI), president of the II European and International Affairs Commission, expressed great satisfaction with the result achieved, underlining that the opening of the desk has been one of the priority objectives since its establishment. “An objective pursued from the first moment of my inauguration as president of the Second Commission. All businesses and citizens of the coast will benefit,” Mari said.
Services Offered and Objectives
The Civitavecchia Europe Desk aims to become an essential point of contact between citizens, local businesses, associations, public bodies and European channels. Among the services offered will be the provision of detailed information on European funding opportunities, support in the drafting and interpretation of tender notices, and facilitation of cooperation between the public and private sectors. Furthermore, the desk will play a crucial role in facilitating collaboration at national, regional and local levels.

The initiative is seen as a significant step in supporting the economic and social transformation process of Civitavecchia, especially in a period of great changes such as the coal phase out. “I am confident that this new service will be able to make a good contribution to the socio-economic development of Civitavecchia and its citizens,” added councilor Mari, thanking the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca and the General Director Paolo Giuntarelli for their support and attention to the project.
