MONFALCONE Section of the A4 motorway closed during the night between Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th April between the Redipuglia and Lisert toll booths, in the direction of Trieste, due to an accident which occurred at 3.15am and required rescue operations which lasted until 5am .
For reasons under investigation, a light truck immediately left the roadway.
The impact with the guardrail caused the vehicle to be projected between the two lanes and for this reason, following the intervention of the Monfalcone fire brigade, traffic on the stretch was interrupted. The traffic police intervened on site to investigate.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The driver of the light truck, a man who was alone in the passenger compartment at the time of the impact, was rescued and transported to the hospital under yellow code for the necessary treatment and checks.
The departure of the firefighters from Monfalcone ended at 5am, after the restoration and safety of the artery, once the accident vehicle had been moved, at 5am.
Traffic then resumed, towards Trieste.
