Veneto Women’s Project chooses Treviso

Born in 1876 in Gioiosa Jonica, Pellicano approached women’s emancipation movements by describing, through her activity as a writer and journalist, the condition of women in marriage and in the various strata of society. In 1909 she participated as an Italian delegate in the International Congress for women’s suffrage held in London and therefore represented a figure of fundamental importance for the Italian suffragist movement.

World café. Treviso good practices to support equal opportunities

Promoted by: Veneto Aps Women’s Project

The World Café is a workspace that brings together the Equal Opportunities Commissions of professional associations, local companies and trade unions. The objective is to build collaborative networks, exchange good practices and define new challenges on the topic of gender equality. Having been practiced for some time, the World Café working method has the particularity of stimulating discussions on the part of the participants in the wake of the questions posed by whoever is organizing the table at that moment. The informal nature of the meeting, generally divided into small groups, allows for a freer and more spontaneous contribution of ideas and discussions compared to classic company meetings. It is in this spirit that the CPOs will be invited to contribute to the creation of a sort of census of good practices with respect to gender equality. We will address issues that concern the actions implemented to facilitate equality, or how to act to increase the presence of women on boards of directors or what to do to facilitate female hiring. And so that the World Café can evolve into practical actions, we plan to come out with a publication to illustrate good practices for the benefit of equality.

The event is reserved for those involved in gender policies, also open to companies. Anyone who wishes can send a request by writing to [email protected]
