The agri-food supply chains represent one of the strongest economic-productive vocations of our territory and have contributed to well-being and employment for decades. Supporting the development of agri-food, based on sustainable and quality production, and defending the incomes of agricultural companies must also represent a priority for our Municipality, working in synergy with the Region and other institutions.
It is an excellence at an international level which in recent years has had to deal with multiple critical issues: inflationary tensions on fuel prices, geopolitical crises, growing competition from non-EU countries that produce on the basis of less rigorous and advanced regulations in terms of product quality. work and production, the devastating effects of climate change and, finally, the increasingly difficult finding of expert and qualified manpower.
Although the Municipalities do not have significant institutional competences on this matter, as a candidate I believe it is essential that our Administration pays real attention to the needs of the agricultural world, starting with new urban planning and the training of qualified manpower.
