In Bassano, the exhibition “Renaissance in black and white. The art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615)”

On the occasion of Liberation Day and the long weekend, the Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappaon the occasion of the exhibition “Renaissance in black and white. The art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615)”, offering visitors a rich program of guided and animated tours.

For the days of Thursday 25th (from 11.00am to 4.00pm), Friday 26th (4.00pm), Saturday 27th (4.00pm), and Sunday 28th (11.00am and 3.00pm), the Museum will offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the suggestive atmospheres of the exhibition dedicated to the art of Renaissance engraving. Thanks to the museum guides and educational workshops, visitors will be able to discover even the smallest detail within the works of the greatest artists of the Renaissanceincluding Andrea Mantegna, Albrecht Dürer, Jacopo de’ Barbari, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, Cornelis Cort, Agostino Carracci, and Giuseppe Scolari.

In Piazza Castello, the “Vicenza Creativa” event

On the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April, the first edition of the “Vicenza Creativa” event, dedicated to artistic craftsmanship, will be held in Piazza Castello in Vicenza.

Visitors will be able to find original artefacts, made entirely by hand. From small jewels, to home decor; from art to fashion accessories; and so on. “Vicenza Creativa” will bring a Creative Market to Piazza Castello, celebrating the world of craftsmanship.

Zero km art: the “King of blue” exhibition

Until Sunday 28 April, the socio-cultural association “Arte a Km zero” is offering an exhibition completely inspired by nature in Contra San Gaetano Thiene, Vicenza. Through the selection of precious materials, the artist Wilma Strabello will give life to evocative objects, within the scenography designed by Edoardo Maria Maggiolocreating an overall magical atmosphere.

For over twenty years, Strabello has been an established author of women’s and children’s manuals. Among her projects, Wilma can count in several books, published by Mondadori, Giunti Demetra, and Walt Disney, where she teaches the wonder of “knowing how to create”, in addition to “knowing how to do with your hands”.

Research and experimentation, these are the artist’s key words, which led her to the rediscovery and valorization of her techniques, giving a notable boost to women’s manuals. Furthermore, Wilma Strabello also dedicates herself to the creation of fashion accessories and furniture.

In her home-laboratory, the “Academy of Ideas”, Wilma dedicates herself to the creation of objects and books, as well as holding courses and internships. The “King of Blue” exhibition in Vicenza will be free to enter, as well as promoted by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Attraction of the Municipality of Vicenza.

FOLKinVI – the festival of popular dances

On the occasion of the International Dance Day 2024, “FOLKinVI”, the festival of international popular dances, will be held in Piazza dei Signori from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm on Sunday 28 April.

The event, to which adults and children, expert absolute beginners are invited, is carried out by some associations and groups, including: Il Tirinballo, from Vicenza; Balfolk Vicenza; MondoinBallo, from Valdagno; BreDanze, from Breganze; and Folk Dances in Schio.

This party was promoted by the CID – International Dance Council of UNESCO, which invited dance associations and schools, as well as bodies and institutions, to promote free events, with the aim of attracting the attention of young people and adults towards the world of dance.

In short, an event promoted not only to experts, but with a focus on dance beginners, or those who do not usually follow these events. Following UNESCO indications, the FOLKinVI will be a Free admission.
