“At the preliminary conference which was held this morning at the Ministry of the Environment to discuss the remediation of former industrial sites Crotone I reiterated that my fellow citizens do not deserve one downward reclamation. Already with the Pob phase 2 the soil of the former Pertusola factory will be made safe and covered, now it is necessary to respect what is defined with the Directorial decree n. 7 of 3 March 2020″.

This is what the mayor communicates Vincenzo Voce.

“Waste must be take them out and do not move a few meters from where they are located. Otherwise it would be a further mockery for the city, for the people of Crotone. We will never give our consent. When Eni talks to me about “Waste tourism” I would prefer that the inevitability of leaving with them be concretely examined reclamation activities without taking refuge in the absence of landfills”, he underlined.

“The reclamation it must be done, also using innovative techniques. Precisely for this reason I asked them to come costs reevaluated in light of new technologies that will have to be taken into consideration. Costs too much? Not It’s a city problem. I also communicated that I will renew at Calabria region the invitation to enforce the surety policy issued by Eni”, concludes the mayor.
