TURIN – The tour will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April 2024 Closed House Turin, a walking itinerary in the subalpine capital in search of buildings of value and historical and architectural interest in a state of abandonment totally or partially occupied, becoming real urban ghosts. By reviewing not only “closed buildings” but also other homes that have now disappeared, it will help us understand and reinterpret the evolutionary path of the Turin community in recent centuries, the territory on which they were built and the various uses that followed over time.
The “Closed House Turin” tour has reached its third year, always in search of abandoned architecture closed to the public (residential houses, schools, sports facilities, industrial facilities, buildings of worship, etc.), starting in the first edition from the center historical and Vanchiglia, in the second edition the Crocetta and Santa Rita districts, while in this third edition we will visit abandoned areas in the Aurora, Barriera di Milano and Regio Parco neighborhoods. We will externally visit the former Astanteria Martini, the former Fiat large motors factory, the former Nebiolo, the former post office headquarters and the former Tobacco Factory.
How to participate in the event
Meeting in via Cigna in front of the former Astanteria at 2.45 pm. Tour ends in Piazza Abba at approximately 6pm. It is recommended to arrive at the appointment with your own car and free Caus 2024 membership.
Interested parties must have the free Caus 2024 card and send a tour request to [email protected] indicating the preferred date no later than the day before, with certification of registration (or already in possession) of the 2024 card, entering all data , including the mobile number of all those interested in the tour.
