Ancona – Attempts to scam a 77 year old: a 47-year-old man of Neapolitan origin reported.
The attempt on Wednesday when the 77-year-old, after leaving the hospital, he was approached by the criminal.
He pretended to be a friend of his son, telling him about have an agreement in play with him from 160 euros to purchase some spare parts for the camera.
To convince him, the scammer also faked a phone call with his son, which he did convinced the 77-year-old to go and withdraw the money at an ATM inside the hospital.
While the scammer waited in the parking lot, the man decided to contact his son after making the withdrawal explained that he was faced with a scam attempt.
Before returning to the scammer, he therefore went to the police station inside the hospital to tell everything to the police.
The man was then blocked inside the car park, recognized by the victim and reported for fraud.
The Police Commissioner’s action was immediate: compulsory leave sheet from Ancona for 4 years.
