THE EAGLE. Two of them molest a minor with the excuse of a snack at the bar and end up arrested. The episode occurred last April 1st, in a town in the L’Aquila area, which is not indicated for its superior protection of the victim. A 48-year-old and a 58-year-old ended up in handcuffs, both accused of sexual assault, for having groped the minor several times.
According to what has been reconstructed, the minor, that day, had gone to the bar together with a friend to have a chat with the owner, a person to whom she is very close. Once she entered the club, she was approached by the two, who were having some drinks. At that point, the two came forward to offer the girl a snack: sweets and fruit juice. Immediately afterwards, for the youngest, the nightmare began. While she accompanied her friend to the bathroom, she was allegedly blocked by one of the two men to grope her breasts, despite the girl’s resistance. At that point the minor, in shock and strongly frightened by what had happened, immediately walked away from her, together with her friend, but the two adults chased her and caught up with her outside the bar. Here, according to the reconstruction of the investigators, they would have squeezed her hips between their bodies, to grope her again, preventing her freedom of movement. The friend’s screams had made the 48-year-old and the 58-year-old give up, forced to move away.
The victim, unable to do anything else, then returned to the bar to find refuge, asking for help from the owner, who immediately closed the business, trying to reassure the minor. The story of the story ended up on the table of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the regional capital. The ones who asked the judiciary to intervene and punish those responsible were the parents of her little girl who, once she returned home, had told all the details about her to her family. Hence the investigations which, in a few weeks, led to the arrest of the two alleged perpetrators. The prosecutor requested and obtained precautionary custody in prison Fabio Picuti. “The reconstruction of the facts, carried out by the minor, is credible as it is not characterized by contradictory profiles and is formulated in a clear and serene way, finds external confirmation in the summary information provided by the other minor and by the owner of the bar”, wrote the investigating judge Marco Billi, who signed the ordinance. According to the magistrate, for the suspects, there is a danger of repeating the crime. (ada)
