PESARO Electronic music to listen to and experience at 360° with the second edition of Lamp Algebra, the contemporary electronic music festival curated by Paolo Tarsi of Anitya Records, as part of the Playlist Pesaro review. An intense weekend which will offer, on 27 and 28 April, three concerts and a masterclass. The program of April 27th opens at 6pm at the Chiesa dell’Annunziata with I feel like a bombed cathedral, a new project between post-rock, avant-garde and electronics by Amaury Cambuzat already known as the leader of Ulan Bator or as the guitarist of the legendary German band Faust.

Dark-ambient, contemporary, drone, cinematic, kraut, experimental, minimal style music, in which the sound and atmospheres are created on the spot, without the use of sampling or pre-recorded elements. The arrival of Roger Eno is highly anticipated, on Saturday at 9pm at the Teatro Sperimentale, for his only date in Italy, in which he will bring the rarefied atmospheres of his recent albums recorded on the piano for the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon. The English composer and musician has often been compared to the musical impressionism of Debussy and Satie, whose career is dotted with soundtracks for films such as Trainspotting and Dune by David Lynch, the latter alongside his brother Brian with whom in 1983 he recorded “Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks” together with Daniel Lanois. Roger Eno has also collaborated with Lou Reed, The Orb, Jarvis Cocker, Marianne Faithfull, Beck and recorded with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Peter Hammill and Tim Robbins. In 2020 he made his debut on Deutsche Grammophon with “Mixing Colours”, in a duo with his brother Brian, while in October his new album “The skies, they shift like chords” was released.

The first day

The first day of the festival ends at 10.30pm, again at the Sperimentale, with Monotonoise, an electronic music duo with an attitude towards ambient and techno, composed of Giancarlo “Delavie” Cagliero and Enrico “Urz” Vaudet. Multiple musical productions anticipated the formation of the project, which took place in 2020 and culminated the following year in a collaboration with Johnson Righeira and participation in the celebrations of the fortieth anniversary of Vamos a la playa which saw them take part in a remix album of the iconic 80s song.

Sunday

Sunday is reserved for young emerging musicians and music production enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to participate in the masterclass (already sold out) conducted by Pino ‘Pinaxa’ Pischetola, Franco Battiato’s historic accomplice and inseparable sound engineer, active since second half of the Eighties between the Logic Studios of the La Bionda Brothers, passing through the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, until he opened the Pinaxa Studio in 2007, where he currently operates. The festival offers a special subscription to the three concerts for 18 euros. Info and presale Rossini Theater 0721 387621, Experimental Theater 0721 387548 (on the day of the concert).
